cut to; peach creek commons, cardboard fortress, night
ed's car pulls into the driveway of his house. Ed gets out of the car and heads inside.
cut to: ed's room
ed lays on his bed, opens up the comic, and begins reading
dissolve to several minutes later as ed is about to close the book, having had a good pick-me-up from the graphic novel from days long past. But, something stops him. Curiosity sets in as ed spots three faded numbers in between the pages. Deciding to work off of this hunch, ed turns to several other pages in the book, seeing a set of three numbers on each page. Putting two and two together, ed's eyes light up and he rushes to his desk, placing the book on top.
ed: if I'm right.....
ed opens up a drawer and pulls out a decoder ring, a pencil, and some paper, and begins to work. Ed twists and turns the ring, finding the letters that match up with each number
ed: ...it's a code. But what does it mean?
after several more minutes of decoding, ed finally reached the end. The message read thusly
to whoever this may concern....
doubtless you've read through this story, about an adventurer seeking an ancient weapon known as "orion's hammer" which is said to hold the power to reduce entire civilizations to rubble. Well, let me assure you, though exaggerated and romanticized, the events that transpired within this comic are REAL! They are real and the orion's hammer remains untouched and waiting to this day.
that is, depending on what you plan to do with this information. As my life slowly leaves me each day, I can only hope that this information has reached the hands and eyes of someone who is worthy.
sincerely, Dr. Carl Trevedor
ed can only stare at the information on the page before him. Of course, after a second, he breaks into chuckles, skeptical of the information on the page
ed: yes, I'm sure
ed places the comic on the table before hearing the door opening. Sarah enters, tapping her foot in impatience
sarah: cmon, ed. You promised you'd take me to the museum two days ago!
ed perks up in acknowledgement
ed: I did? Oh, right then, let's go
ed stands, grabbing his coat and heading out the door with sarah, grabbing the comic as he walks out
ed (thinking): I can at least read this entertaining piece of craziness during the tour
fade out
fade in; genius grove, global history museum, day
genius grove, a thriving environment for culture, science, religion, and all around knowledge. As such, every house of the suburban neighborhood is lined with some techno doo dad of some sort. In one section of the small town, there lies the global history museum, where, as the name implies, the detailed history of the world as we know it can be found and read and viewed. Outside of the museum, a small crowd of people have gathered for the monthly tour. In this crowd we find ed and sarah standing in line for a ticket. Once the two receive two tickets, they head inside. Inside, they stand with the others lucky enough to receive tickets. In front of the crowd, the official guides them through the museum
official: welcome friends, to the global history museum in scenic genius grove, let's not waste any time and begin!
the official guides them through the exhibits, featuring pictures of 15th century earth, then it would show pictures of the black demon AKU wreaking havoc upon the earth. The official explains
official: a long long time ago, humanity lived in peace with the rest of the world. While we had our fair share of wars, the majority lived in relative harmony. That is, until the great demon AKU arose to spread his dark will and ambitions across the planet. Striking down anyone in his path, he easily conquered the planet and ruled with an iron fist all the way through until the 22nd century. Then, a mysterious samurai arrived from out of nowhere, and, wielding a magic sword, stepped forth to oppose him, striking down the creature. The 23rd century was spent with humanity regaining their former numbers. Unfortunately, it was not that easy, you see, aku's power had attracted unwanted attention from alien worlds, who did not want to give up their quarry so easily. SO after some.....questionable acts of ethnic cleansing, humanity had driven away all alien life forms that meant out species harm, allowing all peaceful races to live here with us, as aku had destroyed their respective planets. Now you may be wondering "what could've happened to the samurai or the sword he wielded?" well, no one knows for sure, but recently, scientists have discovered a sword of similar design and structure. And here it is
after that exposition dump (cut me some slack, I had to explain this universe SOMEHOW) the official presents to them a large sword that almost seemed to GLOW in the sunlight. At the sight of this, ed's eyes widened as he reached for his comic book. Opening the book, ed found that the book held an EERILY similar looking sword within its pages. After the crowd moved on, ed quickly ran to the sword for a closer look. Upon the blade was written strange letters in a language ed couldn't but at the same time COULD understand. Backing away, ed decided to catch up with the crowd to continue the tour, but one thing remained on his mind
ed (thinking): I gotta talk to double d about this

Home
Dear you
You probably don't know
I wrote about you yesterday
and the day before that.
But my favorite part was when you made me tea and it tasted like home.I drank all of it because that is what normal people do,but when I took your cup to the dishwasher
I saw you left a lil bit of tea in it, just like I normally would and i felt even more at home.
Today when you were siting next to me I was cutting out the word home from my paper and it seems like you have been a round a lot when the word 'home' is used but I guess that's one of the building blocks to start building a home, is someone who's going to be around.
I woke up this morning with a

The Past
A howl pierced the night.
The heart-breakingly lonely sound echoing through the burned trees. Ash had risen to cover her like bits of dead snow, mottling her living coat with the dead and gone. Past memories floated here, nightmares and half made dreams littering the ground. The smell of broken promises and ancient love wafted through the air, mystifying and cold. The barren gray trees stand like silent guardians to lock up the emotions that are left here as offerings. All the banished faces, all the buried emotions, pieces of lives pushed here and tucked away till she's ready to face them.

Good to see another chapter up. And nice way of incorporating the Samurai Jack universe seamlessly, too!
